Vatsa,
That doesn't gross me out. I trim it and keep it waxed--but I also like some hair down there, so I only wax down to a small triangle of hair that would be covered by even the smallest bikini panty. I would never, EVER dye down there, especially since it's just a darker red than the hair on my head and I like being unique. And the fact that my hair is naturally red both on top, and on bottom (I believe the term is my carpet matches my drapes) drives my husband absolutely wild. In fact, I used to wax down to a little strip of hair but he asked me to stop waxing away so much hair because he loved my dark red pubic hair so much.
I think I was about 16 when I first started waxing and trimming it. I've never had an abundance of hair down there, so it was only when I started wearing skimpy bikinis that I needed to clean it up and shape it. I never, ever took a razor to my pubic hair, which I thought was normal because... ew. Sometime last year, I was hanging out with a group of girls from work and we all started talking about how we like to keep our hair down there and they were all talking about what kind of razor they use (I was quite grossed out when one girl said that she borrows her husband's razor) and I blurted out, "You guys SHAVE down there?"
They all stopped talking and just stared at me. Finally, Amy, one of my closest friends, said something like, "Well, YEAH. Are you saying you just... leave it... natural?" I could tell that the idea was as gross to her as the idea of shaving was to me.
"No, of course not! I WAX." It was so funny. They all started asking me if it hurt (a bit but I don't mind) and how long I've been waxing, what type of wax I use, etc. They all said that they had thought about waxing down there but were afraid to and I had to tell them that I was afraid to use a razor down there because... ow. Plus, wax pulls the hair out by the root, so there's no stubble and it's just smooth and clean. Even though my husband rarely goes down on me, I would die if I had stubble down there because... yeah. Ew.
Perhaps I'm bordering into too much information territory? :)
Camella.
